I’ve been thinking about starting up an anime/manga review thingy on youtube.

I’m unsure whether or not I should do it.

If I do, what would you want me to review?

(BTW, no Loot Get this month since all I got was a few volumes of Zetsubou Sensei, a wallscroll of SZS and DVD’s of Ouran High School Host Club and Baccano!)

This one comes from AmiAmi, hence the different packaging and box

Hey look! Another Loot Get in a single month! But this ones for the appropriate month!

What was inside, not that much aside from figma's

Figure’s. The one of the only things of anime you can’t download from the internet.

Tsumugi Kotobuki and Azu-nyan

Ritsu Tainaka and Nanoha Takamachi

I should note that Nanoha’s incarnation in this form was from StrikerS and one of the first figma’s ever made. Good thing AmiAmi still had a couple in stock.

Nanoha's packaging

Comes with her standard weapon, Raising Heart Excellion (It’s from StrikerS, roll with it.), an additional fringe, a exchangeable face, the standard figma stand and her feet wing thingies that make her fly

Mugi's packaging (Blurry... >_>')

Comes with two exchangeable faces/shoes , her piano + stand for said piano.

Ritsu's Packaging

Comes with her several piece drum kit that I as a drummer find an astoundingly awesome representation of a real drum kit, two exchangeable faces/shoes, a separate fringe with a bump mark on her head and even one to go on top of it and drum sticks

Azu-nyan's packaging

Comes with (you guessed it!) two exchangeable faces + shoes, her bass guitar (which yet again is a excellent representation because my little sister owns one), a cover for the guitar and her trademark nekomimi.

Well, here's the shelf as it is now

And just for comparisons sake and since I’m looking for stuff to put in this post, the place where I’m keeping my figma boxes is now housing a huge pile of figma boxes, quite literally. Don’t believe me? Here’s the pile itself:

A total of ten boxes, 4 of the large, square boxes, six of the small, rectangle boxes

And here’s the actual closet with the boxes in it:

As you can see, it takes up almost over a half of the closet area

Just thought I’d let you all know…hehehe

So! After 2 months of waiting for the pre-order to come through, payment to actually go through and waiting for it to come. Yoshika Miyafuji, the sergeant with a weird obsession with breasts from Strike Witches, a series that goes out of it’s way to tell you that technology can AMPLIFY magic (which I still to this day don’t get…at all…) and that the military is fighting aliens on an opposite earth.

Yeah, not many people thought it was good aside from the obvious fan service.

But hey I liked it, which is why I bought this figma in the first place.

Anyway, here’s what it looks like:

So many accesories~!

And this completes my shelf of awesome anime figures….so far anyway since I have an order on AmiAmi ready to come either this or next week.

The shelf as of now, orange glow ftw

Either way, Yui won’t be alone for long, Ri-chan, Mugi and Azu-nyan will be joining her (no Mio yet since she’s sold out at AmiAmi.)

AICon 2011 Overview

So, remember my last blog post where I said I’d talk about AI?

WELL! HERE IT IS!!

AICon (or Anime Island Convention) occurred on the first weekend of this month down in Hobart here in Tasmania.

It was originally a very small convention (according to and confirmed by my fellow con-goer, Tamara.) but recently got bigger and moved to the derwent entertainment center instead of a university campus.

I went to that convention as T.K. from Angel Beats, Tamara went as Misaka from ‘Rail-dex’

I’m running out of information here so…PICTURES!!

Seakittens abound in the form of an "Angeburger" cosplayer

T as Misaka with a Marisa CROSSplayer

Same guy except I'm with him

There was also a Reimu Hakurei cosplayer there, so my natural urges FORCED me to get a picture with her ^_^

I also now realize how over excited I was in that picture as I was trying TOO hard to conceal my excitement with that smile…. >_>’

One REALLY cool cosplayer as Tomo Takino from Azumanga Daioh! T REALLY wanted that picture

Also I didn’t realize it until a week after the convention. But it turned out that Tomo cosplayer was an old friend that went to the same primary school as I did, along with a few other people from the same school.

Dammit my memory sucks!!

A hunter from L4D

ROW ROW FIGHT DA POWAH!!

Remember the Marisa and Reimu cosplayers? We convinced them to meet up and take a picture together. Ihihi!

Eternal Touhou Bro/Sis….That’s all I have to say.

T wanted to get a pic with the Reimu cosplayer

I ended up getting on Cosplay Mystery Date. Really awesome!

One really awesome bro came as the Clerk from Lucky Star

He also has an awesome blog right here: http://crimotaku.com/blog/

He's also a very awesome stormtrooper

A friend of ourse ended up going as Enzio from Assassin's Creed II and boy he did a great job with it!

And now, since I’ve run out of pics from T’s album. Some pictures of our adventures at AI stolen shamelessly from Jean’s blog!

Yeah...I kinda suck at Console Street Fighter (But I beat her three times at Melty Blood and once in BlazBlu)

Crossover pictures. GO!!

Knockin' on heaven's door!

Totally trying to create a Railgun but just can't 'cause it'll short out the camera. Hehe.

Overall. I really liked going to this convention. It’s one of the only (and best) conventions that are a nearest to my current living area, so that’s a HUGE plus.

Defenietly going again next year.

(BTW, I got an E-Mail from the UPS today saying that a package will arrive in a few days, probably my Yoshika Figma, probably not…)

Loot Get: AICon Edition!

Back from the depths of one of Tasmania’s best anime/video game conventions, Anime Island. and with it comes the spoils.

The first two volumes of Bleach

The first three volumes of Ouran High Host Club

A Rin Tohsaka Nendoroid

and A Kagami Hiragi summer uniform Figma

Will post pics on both these and the event soon (as well as post up a separate post regarding AI as a whole)

Loot Get!: Feburary 2011

It's a box

Oooooh, I wonder what's in here!

That’s right folks, inside this box contains my loot for this month (Mind you all but one came, but since It was a pre-order and I’ll get it in the middle of the month, I guess its understandable.

ANYWAY, let’s continue on with this post :P

Inside this box

There's a lot of packaging stuff, don't ya think?

When I saw the inside of this, It made me a very excited otaku.

The loot

There's quite alot, isn't there?

But seeing them in their actual packaging made me even more excited!

Shirou/Saber Packaging

Figma Saber casual ver. and Emiya

These two are from Fate/Stay Night, a series I HIGHLY reccomend viewing of both the Anime and the Visual Novel (Also, Shirou + Nine Lives Blade Works = GARNESS FOREVER!!)

Yui and BRS

Yui Hirasawa and Black Rock Shooter

Yui from K-ON! and Black Rock Shooter from…well…Black Rock Shooter. It’s a nice touch with the OVA along with the figma and the water decals with Yui are good (But are REALLY hard to put on) Plus, Di-Stage punch-outs. EXCELLENT!!

Gurren/Lagann and Angel Beats Nendoroids

Revoltech GURREN + LAGANN and Angel Beats Nendoroid Set 02

Revoltech did a pretty good job with the Gurren and Lagann mechs, I’m definetly getting a completed Gurren Lagann next.

And the Angel Beats Nendoroids were a bitch to set up, seriously, the stands are so tiny and the holes are harder to put the round bits into. But they’re so freaking cool!

Tsubasa Artbook

And the one artbook I could find that I wanted. Tsubasa Album De Reproductions

This is a must have for Tsubasa Fans or CLAMP fans in general. It’s basically a picture book with several pictures regarding Tsubasa Chronicles + a 5 page original manga at the end. It’s so awesome!

The Pile

This is the pile that I made due to boredom during the whole process

Yeah, quite a neat little thing don’t you think?

And all the packaging boxes, neatly put together~!

The unboxing was awesome, it’s just the packing away that was tough since I had no idea where to put everything >_>’

The Shelf (Feb)

And here they all are together!

Overall, this was an excellent purchase and with a Yoshika Miyafuji figma on the way in mid-feburary, It’ll only give me something else to post on here for me to share with all of you!

Greetings
